I did well for my career development exam today despite the shit week i had, so yay to that. Back to work tomorrow. Bleh. Was very tempted to call in sick and go hit the campus career center for great justice. Nah, Iapos;ll be good and bust out some boxes for my pittance and hope that I can strike some real gold on Thursday. Have to be patient. (grr) Iapos;m wondering how much the schedule has changed since I was away. Things tend to change over the weekends.

I did end up with an idea for a fanfic of sorts in a book universe that Iapos;ve only seen maybe one or two things written for. I donapos;t want to say anything or itapos;ll never get out of the chute.

Then hearing about something that happened while I was gone at another place of work makes me wonder if Iapos;m really cut out for that kind of world. The levels of BS give me some serious hives.

Hello, all I know how to make some traditional Chinese pot stickers sauce, but Iapos;m looking for creative alternatives. I have: extra firm tofu (pretty much first time user), fresh ginger garlic, red, orange and green peppers, chicken (dark white), ground beef, sirloin (not ground up), carrots, celery, water chestnuts, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, teriyaki sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, shrimp, imitation lobster, canned crab meat, eggs, frozen spinach, snap peas, green beans and probably lots of other things I canapos;t think of right now. Tomorrow I will travel out of my rural area and squeeze in some visits to Asian (mostly Chinese run - not as many Japanese in Buffalo) markets as well as an Indian food store, where I plan on picking up some curries, spices and possibly pickle/chutney. Any suggestions for recipes or things I should buy (miso is on my list, among other things) are appreciated

This is the last night of sleeping in my house before I leave for California. Itapos;s trash night, then I have to remember to pull the sheets off my bed and into the laundry to bring to my parentsapos; Friday after work. Iapos;m probably leaving their house at 4 am Saturday morning to make a 7 am takeoff from an airport that will take me at least an hour driving. Then I hopefully (please God) sleep through the entire flight (with much help from drugs) or else I guess I overdose from all the drugs and die on the plane.

Jess is picking me up at 10 am California time, which is awesome - like not losing any time at all. We are going to pick up John from work at EA Games where I am going to ride a Segway and meet a rich cute nerdy guy and fall in love. Jess seemed to think they probably donapos;t have Segways all over the campus, but Iapos;m hoping sheapos;s wrong.

I am planning on doing a lot of straight chillinapos; but I also want to go to a beach and eat California food and Asian food. I am hoping I wonapos;t get all jet lagged, like I always seem to do in CA. I wish I had more time to be out there.

I get back Monday (wasting the "whole day" flying) right in time for NoVA rush hour. Iapos;m back at work Tuesday.

Iapos;m really excited, but really really, super super nervous about my stomach issues. I hope everything works out. This takes a lot of courage. Wish me luck. Iapos;ll miss you :)
